I'm deeply upset by the way the Town of Morden has handled your very generous offer. I would have liked to see the donation go to seniors support - Tabor Home. Your mother lived in that disgrase for some time and mine still does. As we have no other place to put our parents in their last years I feel they deserve much better. Our family cannot afford a better place as a lot of other families can't. I feel our town should put better priorities on projects and we have no right to demand swimming pools, better senior care or anything else.
Donations should be received as an honor not a demand. I agree as a taxpayer we cannot afford a performing arts center on the scale the school and Town planned, but to throw the generosity away is very demeaning. I truly am sorry the way this was handled.
Thank you for all you have done for our Town.
